This newest in my line of custom rosaries is a lovely 8mm argentinian rhodonite with sterling-capped pater beads and a heavy vintage crucifix. The corpus is solid and the cross sturdy. I estimate its age to be over 60 years old. It was part of a broken olive seed rosary with both the crucifix and the sacred heart center in excellent condition with beautifully wire-wrapped sterling links. I kept the links, chain, center and crucifix and remade the rosary using these gorgeous semi-transparent deep pink-red 8mm beads. It truly is a one-of-a-kind piece you will cherish for years to come. Pulled straight, the rosary measures approximately 23 3/4 inches. The eyepins and tiny silver balls are also sterling silver. Click here for a closeup of the lovely wrapped links. Note there is some minor discoloration on the crucifix, not uncommon for a piece of this age. This keepsake will be carefully packaged and comes with its own zippered case.
