Labradorite is a stone of mystery, often sought after for its metaphysical properties as much as for its chatoyance. This particular stone is a petite teardrop shape, very thich and with lots of flash. I've border wrapped it in 22 gauge sterling silver wire and added my signature swirls and curl topper. A hidden bail is large enough for most chains. Enjoy this most unusual stone! Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself. The pendant is 1 3/4" from bottom of stone to top of bail and is 7/8" wide.
Note: Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar, a sodium calcium aluminumsilicate with a Mohs hardness of 6 to 6.5. Its name was derived from the Labrador Peninsula where the stone was first found. It is treasured for its flashes of color--green, blue, orange, red, and sometimes violet. Labradorite is found in Canada, Madagascar, mexico, Russia and the United States. Metaphysically, Labradorite is considered the gem of magic and divination, and it awakens, in those who wear it the awareness of one's innate magical powers.
