Mawsitsit is the name of this metamorphic rock found only in Northern Myanmar (formerly Burma). Eduard Gubelin, a Swiss Gemologist first identified this material in 1963 while traveling there. This particular cabochon set boasts beautiful shades of emerald greens against a lighter background. They would be stunning with the matching mawsitsit pendant. Pro-cut and polished to a fine luster, these cabs have been border-wrapped with fine 24 ga. sterling silver wire and finished with a sweep of wire across the top. The ear wires are hand-crafted Celtic spirals. These, and all my earrings are entirely crafted using sterling silver or gold-filled findings. They'll make a nice gift or an interesting addition to your own collection. Enjoy! These one-of-a-kind earrings measure 2 1/4".
