Druzy (also known as Druse and Drusy)is a layer of tiny quartz crystals that form on a host stone. The cavity inside a geode is sometimes filled with drusy quartz crystals. Jasper, chalcedony and agate commonly have druzy crystals as do thunder eggs and geodes. Drusy comes in a variety of colors--clear crystal, black, red, even hot pink as in Cobalto Calcite Druzy, a rare form.
