hen I was a little girl growing up in Southern California and, oh, just about everywhere else, I loved rocks. Loved looking at them and collecting them. Then, I wasn't as discriminating as I am now. It seemed that from every outing I would trundle home a carload of pebbles, stones, and boulder-sized rocks, much to my mother's dismay.
Moving from town to town, state to state meant usually leaving my beloved hoard behind. As I grew older, I turned to other pursuits, but never completely abandoned my earlier interest. After retiring from a career with a major aerospace company, I developed an interest in beading which evolved in a desire to work with semi-precious gemstones and wire. The result you see on these pages.
In addition to wire jewelry design, I am a published author of women's fiction and a certified water fitness instructor. I also maintain and write feature articles for Ireland for Visitors an Irish travel website.
Since 1975, I've lived in Northern California's Coastal mountains. It's a wonderfully inspiring location and the setting for four of my books. Most days and evenings find me at my computer or jewelry bench, a cup of Earl Grey within easy reach, a sleeping cat at my feet, doing what I love best--creating stories of warmth and passion and designing pendants, earrings and bracelets. My motto is "Don't wait for something; make it happen."
